Frequently Asked Questions

  • I provide in person and telehealth psychotherapy services to older teenagers (16+) and adults in the state of North Carolina. For in person sessions we’ll meet at my office in Downtown Greensboro, NC. If we meet online, we’ll meet through a HIPAA compliant platform (Zoom).

I also provide clinical consultation to other therapists who are interested in experiential learning about how to embody the Internal Family Systems model while working with clients.

  • Getting started is simple. Click on the link to my contact form and answer a few questions. I’ll reach out by text, email, or phone call (your choice) within 2 business days to schedule a consultation call to learn more about you and answer any questions you have about working with me.

Right now, I can usually get clients in for a first session within 1-2 weeks.

  • I have been intensively trained (40-100+ hours in the modality) in Internal Family Systems Therapy, EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also receive personal therapy on a regular basis and think all therapists should do this.

I graduated from a CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have a Master of Science and an Education Specialist Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina.

  • Everyone’s path is different so there’s no way to know exactly what yours will look like before we’ve met and worked together on a treatment plan.

Many of my clients start to notice relief within 6 months and begin to notice big changes within 1 year. Many clients find that they want to continue working with me past that, often at a reduced frequency of sessions (biweekly is most common).

Weekly, 60 minute sessions don’t work for everybody due to scheduling, clinical needs, life responsibilities, differences in processing styles, etc. For those clients I offer therapy intensives.

  • I am an out of network provider for all insurance plans. I can accept cash, check, and all major credit cards in addition to HSA and FSA accounts. If requested, I can provide you with a Superbill (a fancy receipt) to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement from your insurance company. Many of my clients use out-of-network benefits to help reduce the out of pocket cost for therapy sessions. Here is a detailed post about how to understand and use out of network benefits.

My sessions rates are as follows:

    Initial Session (90 minutes) - $220

    60 minute session - $180

    90 minute extended session - $270

I also offer Therapy Intensives which can be customized to individual needs.
