IFS & EMDR Therapy Intensives in Greensboro North Carolina
Longer sessions, less frequently, for the deep stuff
-
You're tried therapy for a while but there is something missing
You know the work you want to do to get relief. You look forward to therapy. And you often find that it takes you a while to settle into a session and by the time you’re ready to go there, the clock is ticking and it’s time to leave.
-
You know where you want to go.
You’ve been wandering around the same five or six stories for so damn long - old wounds, relationships with tough loved ones, your body, your sexuality, that panicked feeling in your chest, the chaos in the world right now. You’re tired of being stuck and want to finally get around to enjoying the life you’ve built.
-
A therapy intensive can help.
Unlike traditional therapy with it’s weekly 55 minute sessions, therapy intensives offer a customized approach to healing. Longer sessions (3 hours), give you the space and time to get the relief you need without committing to a year or more of weekly sessions.

Big feelings need more space
A lot of us are big feelers and life doesn’t always leave much space to feel. A therapy intensive gives you the safety and space you need to let your biggest feelings rise and resolve. Brain-Body therapies like IFS and EMDR help sensitive folks learn to use their emotions as a reliable map for living their best life.

Intensives are for you if…
-
Your schedule is packed
Your life is too busy for regular, weekly therapy, but you still want to heal and feel better.
-
You prefer a deep dive
55-minute sessions don’t work for your processing style. You need space to let your brain and body get there in their own time.
-
You're looking to super charge your weekly sessions
You love your current therapist and want to try intensives to compliment the work you’re already doing.
-
You're taking a big leap
Your life is changing and there are life events looming that you want to be able to process. (Marriages, moves, new job, family changes, psychedelic ceremonies, grief anniversary).
How can intensives help you?
-
Intensives allow you to focus on specific themes/issues with targeted support for processing. This can allow you to accelerate your healing and open up new areas for growth in a shorter period of time.
-
Take a break from the constant doing of day-to-day life. During your intensive we’ll work together to slow down and get curious about who you are when you’re not stuck in go mode.
During your intensive there is more time for expansion and practicing being, rather than sticking with the status quo of regular life.
-
The expanded time of an intensive allows you to press pause on the parts of life that feel big and overwhelming.
During your intensive, I hope you’ll spend the hours immediately before and after taking care of yourself as if you’re on a vacation. For some people this might involve body work, a special meal, or extra down time at home.
-
Because intensives are scheduled in advance and do not recur weekly, there is more space to choose a time that lets you absorb new insights and ways of being without having to rush to the next appointment, childcare pickup, or work meeting.
