When my clients first come to therapy, they feel like they are barely hanging on. They know they've carved out a life that is very different from the one they grew up in. And they’re holding this life together with a handful of routines and rituals to keep the anxiety manageable. But day to day they still struggle -- with perfectionism, over-working, over-thinking, and worrying. 

Resting and slowing down feel impossible. There’s too much work to do. And even in the most joyful moments, they are burdened with a voice that says “What if I mess this up too?”

When my clients first come in, they are ready for something to change, but they don’t know which string to pull first and they’re damn sure tired of pulling all of them. They’ve gotten so used to problem solving, making it work, and putting one foot in front of the other that they’ve forgotten how to slow down and enjoy the fruits of their labor. They may have spent a lot of life figuring things out on their own – and doing an okay job of it! But they’ve become experts at solving problems, not at enjoying life.

60 Minute Weekly Therapy Sessions

Deep trauma work can make things feel worse before they get better. (This sucks). To prepare for your recovery journey, we’ll work together weekly for a while to build coping skills and capacity for curiosity, calm, and connection.

90 Minute EMDR + Internal Family Systems Therapy Sessions

Trauma reprocessing needs time, space, and care. Longer sessions allow you the space to let your emotions, memories, and thoughts rise and resolve. 90 minute sessions allow you to access and metabolize old pain without feeling rushed.

Internal Family Systems + EMDR Therapy Intensives

As your life improves and you begin to want time away from therapy sessions to live that life, we can work together in a therapy intensive format a few times a year to help you integrate changes, prepare for big life events, and sustain post-traumatic growth.
